JULOK – Vice Governor of Aceh, Fadhlullah, also known as Dek Fadh, attended the commemoration of the Mawlid of the Prophet Muhammad SAW alongside the 15th Aceh Ulama Muzakarah at Dayah Bustanul Huda, Julok District, East Aceh, on Sunday, September 27, 2026.
Dek Fadh’s presence at the event was part of his efforts to strengthen ties with the ulama (Islamic scholars), dayah (Islamic boarding school) leaders, community figures, and the people of East Aceh. The occasion also served as a moment to foster closer relations between the government and religious leaders in preserving Islamic values and the well-being of the Acehnese people.
The 15th Aceh Ulama Muzakarah provided a platform for scholars to gather, exchange views, and discuss various issues facing the Muslim community, while reinforcing the role of dayahs and ulama in guiding society through changing times.
In his remarks, Dek Fadh expressed his deep appreciation and respect for the ulama, who continuously uphold Islamic scholarly traditions and serve as trusted guides for the public across various aspects of life.
“The Mawlid of the Prophet Muhammad SAW is not only a moment to commemorate the birth of the Messenger of Allah, but also an opportunity for all of us to re-emulate his noble character, struggles, and leadership in our daily lives,” he stated.
On that occasion, Dek Fadh also expressed his gratitude for the achievement of the Aceh contingent at the 31st National Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) 2026 in Semarang, Central Aceh. Aceh secured a spot in the top four, marking one of its finest accomplishments after a 23-year wait.
“Alhamdulillah, we have just received wonderful news. The Aceh contingent successfully finished in the top four at the 31st National MTQ in Semarang. This is a proud moment for all of us, representing our best national achievement after waiting for 23 years,” Dek Fadh said.
He added that this accomplishment was made possible through the hard work of the participants, coaches, officials, LPTQ, the Aceh Provincial Government, as well as the support and prayers of the ulama and the entire Acehnese community.
“We should not view this achievement merely as a ranking. It is the fruit of hard work, prayers, and support from many parties. Therefore, we ought to applaud our youth, coaches, and officials who have brought honor to Aceh on the national stage,” he added.
Dek Fadh noted that this success also serves as motivation to continually improve the nurturing of a Qur’anic generation in Aceh. According to him, the rich tradition of Islamic scholarship and education that has long flourished through dayahs and Qur’anic institutions must be continuously strengthened.
“Hopefully, this achievement marks a promising beginning. We want Qur’anic education in Aceh to grow even stronger, so that in the future, more Acehnese youth will excel while developing noble character and a deep love for the Qur’an,” said Dek Fadh.
Regarding the 15th Aceh Ulama Muzakarah, Dek Fadh emphasized that the forum holds great significance for Aceh. Through this consultation, scholars can continue providing insights, counsel, and recommendations to both the public and the government, ensuring that Aceh’s development progresses in line with religious values and local wisdom.
“The Aceh Government deeply respects and relies on the guidance of our ulama. We hope such gatherings will be maintained so that the government and religious leaders can walk hand in hand in building Aceh and giving the very best for our people,” he remarked.
Dek Fadh also called upon the public to use the Prophet’s Mawlid as a momentum to strengthen brotherhood, preserve unity, and enhance compassion toward one another.
“May the blessings of the Prophet Muhammad’s Mawlid and the prayers of our Ulama make Aceh increasingly safe, peaceful, advanced, and prosperous. The Ulama and Umara must walk together in development to realize an Aceh that is baldatun thayyibatun wa rabbun ghafur (a good land blessed by a Forgiving Lord). And may we all receive the intercession of the Messenger of Allah in the hereafter,” Dek Fadh concluded.
A number of Aceh’s charismatic scholars attended the event, including the Head of Dayah Bustanul Huda Abu H. Muhammad Ali (Abu Paya Pasi), Abi H. Muhammad Ja’far (Abi Lueng Angen), Waled H. Nuruzzahri (Waled NU), Tgk. H. Baihaqi (Baba Di Panton), Abah H. Zainuddin (Abah Di Sarah Teube), Abi H. Muhammad Sufi (Abi Di Paloh Gadeng), Abi Zainuddin Bayu, Abu H. Yaziz Al-Yusufi (Abu Yaziz Al-Yusufi Abdya), Chairman of the North Aceh MPU H. Abdul Manan (Abu Di Blang Jrun), Abu in Julok, along with other prominent scholars.
Also present were DPD RI Member Azhari Cage, Head of Mental and Historical Development of Kodam Iskandar Muda (Kabintaldam IM) Colonel Arm Arief Darmawan representing the Pangdam IM, Deputy Regent of East Aceh Teuku Zainal Abidin, Regent of North Aceh Ismail A. Jalil, Speaker of the North Aceh DPRK Arafat Ali, Rector of Malikussaleh University Herman Fithra, as well as various Abus, Waleds, Abis, Teungkus, dayah leaders, and community figures.
