Kota Jantho — Damaged irrigation canals in Gampong Lambarih Jurong Raya, Suka Makmur District, Aceh Besar, were inspected directly by the Expert Staff to the Regent of Aceh Besar, Fata Muhammad, along with local residents on Sunday (27/9/2026).
The inspection was conducted to assess the condition of the irrigation network, which plays a vital role in watering local agricultural land.
Fata Muhammad engaged in dialogue with residents and gathered their concerns regarding the canal damage. He stated that the condition of the irrigation system requires immediate attention, as it directly impacts farmers’ daily activities and productivity.
“This irrigation canal is crucial for the community, especially the farmers. Therefore, the damage we observed today needs to be addressed promptly in accordance with the government’s authority and capacity,” Fata said.
He added that the findings from the site visit and input from residents would serve as a basis for coordinating with relevant agencies to determine appropriate management steps.
He further noted that the Aceh Besar Regency Government will push for the repair of infrastructure directly tied to public needs, including the irrigation network, to ensure optimal watering functions are restored.
