Aceh – Indonesia, Several officials within the Banda Aceh Police Department have officially been replaced. The leadership reshuffle includes key positions such as the Chief of Operations, Traffic Corps Chief, Vital Object Protection Chief, Intelligence Chief, and several local police chiefs. The handover ceremony took place at the Banda Aceh Police’s Meuligoe Rastra Sewakottama on Thursday, September 1, 2026.
Banda Aceh Police Chief Senior Commissioner Teguh Priyambodo Nugroho stated that the rotations follow up on the Aceh Regional Police Chief Telegram Letter Number ST/275/IX/KEP.3/2026 dated September 18, 2026.
The reshuffle is also based on the Aceh Regional Police Chief Decree Number KEP/323/IX/2026 dated September 18, 2026, regarding Dismissals and Appointments within the Aceh Regional Police Department.
“This reshuffle is part of the dynamic structure within the National Police force, aimed at refreshing personnel for duty execution and public service,” Teguh said.
During the rotation, Police Commissioner Muhammad Hasbi, previously serving as Chief of Operations for Banda Aceh Police, was appointed Deputy Chief of North Aceh Police. The Chief of Operations position was then filled by Police Commissioner Mawardi, who previously served as the Traffic Corps Chief for Banda Aceh Police.
The Traffic Corps Chief position was subsequently entrusted to Police Commissioner Moch Abdhi Hendriyatna, formerly Chief of Operations for Lhokseumawe Police.
Regarding the Vital Object Protection division, Police Commissioner Sofyanto was appointed Acting Deputy Head of the Vital Object Protection Sub-Directorate at the Aceh Regional Police. His former position was handed over to Police Commissioner Tri Andi Dharma, previously Head of the Orderly Execution Section within the Law Enforcement Sub-Directorate of the Aceh Traffic Police Division.
Changes also took place within the intelligence division. Police Commissioner Rudi Patar Marihot Siahaan, former Intelligence Chief of Banda Aceh Police, was appointed Head of the Public Service Section of the Aceh Intelligence Division. The Intelligence Chief position is now held by Police Commissioner Assistant Agung Kasatria Kesuma, formerly Unit 2 Head of Sub-Directorate 3 at the Aceh Intelligence Division.
Meanwhile, Police Commissioner Assistant Maulidin, former Banda Raya Police Chief, was appointed Acting Head of the Legal Counsel Sub-Division of the Aceh Legal Bureau. The Banda Raya Acting Police Chief post was handed to Police Inspector First Class Amrizal, previously Deputy Chief of Kuta Raja Police under Banda Aceh Police.
As for the Kuta Baro Police Chief position, Police Commissioner Assistant Firmansyah was appointed Acting Unit 2 Head of Sub-Directorate 1 at the Aceh Intelligence Division. The post is now occupied by Police Inspector First Class Dr. Junaidi, who previously served as Sub-Section Head of Criminal Investigation Civil Servant Coordination at the Aceh Special Criminal Investigation Directorate.
Teguh expressed his hope that the newly appointed officials will execute their duties and responsibilities effectively to support police operations.
“It is hoped that this transition will bolster policing efforts to maintain law and public order throughout the Banda Aceh Police jurisdiction,” he remarked.***
