Aceh – Indonesia, President Prabowo Subianto reshuffled the Red and White Cabinet by inaugurating 18 state officials at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
The inaugurated officials include ministers, deputy ministers, the Chief and Deputy Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Polri), the Chief of Presidential Staff, as well as several heads and deputy heads of agencies. In addition, Prabowo also witnessed the oath-taking ceremony of the Chairman and Member of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia.
For the Red and White Cabinet, Prabowo inaugurated 10 ministers and deputy ministers for the remainder of the 2024–2029 term. The inauguration was based on Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 104/P of 2026 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of Ministers and Deputy State Ministers of the Red and White Cabinet for the 2024–2029 Period.
Those inaugurated were Bahlil Lahadalia as Coordinating Minister for Downstreaming and Energy Transition, Sugiono as Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs, and Dudung Abdurachman as Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs.
Furthermore, Arrmanatha Christiawan Nasir was inaugurated as Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Muhammad Sarmuji as Minister of Industry.
Meanwhile, for deputy minister positions, Prabowo inaugurated Drajad Hari Wibowo as Deputy Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Nurkholisoh Ibnu Aman and Luky Alfirman as Deputy Ministers of Finance, Muhammad Saleh Mustafa as Deputy Minister of Agriculture, and Irwan Meilano as Deputy Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.
Listyo Sigit Appointed Chief of Presidential Staff
In addition to ministers and deputy ministers, Prabowo inaugurated four other state officials at the State Palace.
Listyo Sigit Prabowo was inaugurated as Chief of Presidential Staff, replacing Dudung Abdurachman. Previously, Listyo Sigit served as Chief of National Police.
Dedi Prasetyo was inaugurated as Head of the National Agrarian Reform Agency (BRAN). Previously, Dedi served as Deputy Chief of National Police.
On the same occasion, Ariyanto Wibowo was inaugurated as Deputy Head of the Finance and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), while Muhammad Fadil Imran became Deputy Head of the North Coast of Java Management Authority Agency.
The appointments of the four officials were based on Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 105/P of 2026 and Number 40/M of 2026.
Suyudi Ario Seto Becomes National Police Chief
Changes also occurred within the police force. Prabowo inaugurated Police Commissioner General Suyudi Ario Seto as National Police Chief and Police Commissioner General Wahyu Hadiningrat as Deputy National Police Chief at the State Palace.
The inauguration was based on Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 96/POLRI of 2026 and Number 97/POLRI of 2026 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of the Chief and Deputy Chief of the Indonesian National Police.
Suyudi previously served as Head of the National Narcotics Board (BNN) since August 25, 2025. Meanwhile, Wahyu Hadiningrat previously served as the Chief of Police’s Chief Assistant for General Planning and Budget (Astamarena Kapolri).
During the inauguration, Suyudi was also promoted one rank higher to Police General. He replaces General Listyo Sigit Prabowo as National Police Chief.
Nuzran Joher Appointed Ombudsman Chairman
In addition to government officials and police leadership, Prabowo witnessed the oath-taking ceremony of the Chairman and Member of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia for the remaining 2026–2031 tenure.
Nuzran Joher took the oath as Chairman of the Indonesian Ombudsman, while Radian Syam as Member of the Indonesian Ombudsman. Their appointments were based on Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 84/P of 2026 and Number 96/P of 2026.
Following the ceremony, Nuzran stated that the oath and pledge of office would serve as a guide in carrying out the statutory mandate to oversee public service delivery.
According to Nuzran, having a complete team of nine Ombudsman members marks a new step toward internal reform and strengthening the execution of duties as an external supervisory body for public services.
The entire series of inaugurations and oath-taking ceremonies concluded with the signing of official minutes and congratulations. President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming were the first to congratulate the newly sworn-in officials.
