Aceh – Indonesia, Director General of Corrections (Dirjenpas) Mashudi has resigned from his position. The resignation letter was received by the Minister of Immigration and Corrections (Imipas), Agus Andrianto, on Thursday (10/1/2026).

Mashudi’s resignation is stated to be a form of moral responsibility regarding the “luxury cluster” uncovered at the Class IIA Cibinong Correctional Facility (Lapas).

Akbar Hadi, Head of the Center for Data, Information, and Public Communication of the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections (Kemenimipas), confirmed the news.

“Today, the Minister of Imipas received the resignation letter from Mr. Mashudi as director general of corrections,” Akbar stated in a release on Thursday (10/1/2026).

Akbar emphasized that Mashudi’s resignation would not disrupt the duties and functions of the Ministry of Imipas, particularly in the corrections sector.

According to him, all public services and official duties will continue to run in accordance with applicable mechanisms and regulations.

“Public services and the execution of correctional duties and functions will continue as usual. All personnel remain committed to performing their duties within their assigned authority and established mechanisms,” he explained.

Kemenimipas ensures that operational continuity and organizational duties remain a priority while the administrative process for Mashudi’s resignation is underway. Consequently, correctional officers will continue providing public services and fulfilling official responsibilities according to their respective roles.
