Aceh – Indonesia, President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated Syahganda Nainggolan as the Head of the Government Communication Agency (Bakom) and Rocky Gerung as a member of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres) at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Friday, October 2, 2026.
Syahganda’s appointment as Head of Bakom was outlined in Presidential Decree (Keppres) No. 106/P of 2026 concerning the Appointment of the Head and Deputy Head of the Government Communication Agency.
During the inauguration ceremony, Fadli Tri Hartono was also appointed as Deputy Head of Bakom.
On the same occasion, Prabowo inaugurated 26 Wantimpres members based on Presidential Decree No. 107/P of 2026 concerning the Appointment of Members of the Presidential Advisory Council of the Republic of Indonesia.
Rocky Gerung was among the 26 Wantimpres members inaugurated by Prabowo.
The structure of the newly inaugurated Wantimpres includes Pratikno as Chairman concurrently serving as a member, Muhammad Hatta Rajasa as Vice Chairman concurrently serving as a member, and Muhammad Qodari as Secretary concurrently serving as a member.
Furthermore, Sinta Nuriyah Wahid, Muhammad Quraish Shihab, Agum Gumelar, Chairul Tanjung, Said Aqiel Siradj, Anwar Iskandar, Yahya Cholil Staquf, Jusuf Wanandi, Budi Gunawan, Bambang Soesatyo, Salim Segaf Al-Jufri, Soekarwo, Dato’ Sri Tahir, and Rocky Gerung were inaugurated as members.
Additionally, Ida Bagus Purwalaksana, Philip Kuncoro Wijaya, Budi Santoso Tanuwibowo, Anwar Usman, Mohamad Hatta, Jusuf Hamka, Margarito Kamis, Jacky Manuputty, and Ignasius Jonan were also sworn in as members of Wantimpres.
Following the appointments, President Prabowo led the official oath of office for the newly appointed officials.
“That I will remain faithful to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will strictly execute all laws and regulations for the sake of my devotion to the nation and state,” Prabowo declared while reciting the oath of office.
In taking the oath, the officials also committed to upholding the ethics of their positions and executing their duties to the best of their abilities with full responsibility.
The ceremony proceeded with the signing of the official inauguration minutes by representatives of the newly appointed officials.
The event concluded with congratulations. President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming extended their congratulations first to the newly inaugurated officials, followed by the invited guests.
Several leaders of state institutions, ministers, and deputy ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, along with other distinguished guests, attended the ceremony.
