Aceh – Indonesia, Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Insan Qur’ani Aceh Besar successfully secured two overall champion titles at the Religion, Art, Language, Science, and Sport in Smantig (REALISTIG) VIII 2026 hosted by SMAN 3 Banda Aceh. Remarkably, one of the titles, the overall champion in the SMANTIG Tilawatil Qur’an (STIQ) category, was successfully defended for the fifth consecutive time since 2022.
The announcement was delivered by the REALISTIG VIII organizing committee during the closing ceremony on Friday, October 2, 2026.
The MA Insan Qur’ani contingent clinched 1st place in Speech, 1st place in Acapella Nasyid, 1st and 2nd place in the Islamic Quiz Competition (CCA), 2nd place in Female Tilawah, 3rd place in Male Tilawah, as well as the Best and Most Favorite awards in Photography.
Following these achievements, the extended family of Dayah Insan Qurani welcomed the news with great enthusiasm.
Secretary of Dayah Insan Qur’ani, Ustaz Dr. Alfirdaus Putra, expressed his appreciation for the accomplishments. According to him, the achievements made by the students are an integral part of the ongoing character-building and training program at the dayah.
“Alhamdulillah, we are deeply grateful for the students’ achievements at REALISTIG this year. This is certainly a proud moment for the entire Insan Qur’ani family. Winning the overall championship in two categories simultaneously is an extraordinary milestone,” said Alfirdaus.
He also expressed gratitude for securing the overall championship title in the STIQ category for the fifth consecutive time at the event.
“We have won the overall champion title in the STIQ category at Realistig 5 times. As for the overall champion title across all high school/MA levels, this is our first time achieving it at this event,” Alfirdaus noted.
He added that maintaining top achievements year after year relies heavily on the continuous mentoring and training involving various stakeholders within Dayah Insan Qur’ani.
“What we hope for is continuity from one generation to the next. The students achieving today are continuing the learning traditions established by their seniors, and they will, in turn, pass the torch of mentorship to the next generation,” he said.
He expressed hope that these milestones would motivate students to keep improving their abilities without viewing these achievements as the final endpoint.
“May this achievement encourage our students to keep learning and processing. Every victory is something to be grateful for, but maintaining enthusiasm for learning, discipline, and the drive for self-improvement is far more important,” Alfirdaus added.
“Thank you to our students and teachers for their hard work and struggle, especially to the Board of Directors of LPP (Potential Development Institute) Dayah IQ for guiding and supporting the mentorship process. What we achieved today is the fruit of a long journey. Hopefully, this achievement inspires us to keep learning and striving for excellence, bringing blessings to us all,” he stated.
Beyond the high school level, Alfirdaus mentioned that MTs Insan Qurani students also achieved success at REALISTIG 2026, winning 1st place in 3 Juz Tahfidz and 2nd place in Speech.
This series of victories strengthens MA Insan Qur’ani’s track record at REALISTIG while setting a new benchmark with its first-ever overall championship title at the SMA/MA level.
