Aceh – Indonesia, Central Aceh Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Teguh Siswoyo called on the public to jointly maintain public order and security (kamtibmas) as part of efforts to create a safe environment while supporting local economic and tourism activities.

Teguh delivered the message while attending the Suling Bambu (Wednesday Dawn Prayer Mobile Movement with the Community) activity at Jami’ Baiturrahman Mosque, Tetunjung Village, Lut Tawar District, on Wednesday (7/10/2026).

Speaking before the congregation, Teguh stated that efforts to maintain public order require the involvement of all elements of society. According to him, the police force cannot work alone without the support and participation of residents.

«“Let us build public security and order together. Insha’Allah, let us endeavor and pray together so that security in Central Aceh remains well-maintained,” he said.»

Teguh also linked the security situation to economic and tourism activities. He noted that a safe and comfortable regional environment instills confidence in visitors from outside the region to visit and engage in economic activities.

Therefore, he encouraged the public to help promote the various tourism potentials of Takengon and Central Aceh.

“Takengon is renowned as a tourist destination for its natural beauty and friendly people. This is what we need to promote and spread—that the people of Takengon are welcoming, so that visitors from outside can come and help boost the local economy,” he said.

In addition to the tourism sector, Teguh mentioned that Central Aceh possesses several leading commodities, including coffee, chili, avocado, and various other agricultural products.

He believes this potential can deliver broader benefits if backed by a conducive security environment and active community participation in safeguarding their surroundings.

“The police and the community work shoulder to shoulder to maintain security and order, while striving to ensure our presence brings tangible benefits to the public,” he stated.

On the same occasion, Teguh also reminded residents to increase their vigilance regarding potential disasters. He emphasized that preparedness and a spirit of mutual cooperation are essential in facing various possibilities that may arise in the community.

Earlier, Teguh invited the congregation to express gratitude for the opportunity to gather and perform congregational prayers at Jami’ Baiturrahman Mosque.

“Alhamdulillah, we give thanks to Allah for the blessings of health and opportunity that allow us to perform congregational prayers in this Baiturrahman Mosque. We should truly be grateful for this,” he said.

The Suling Bambu event was also attended by Deputy Regent of Central Aceh Muchsin Hasan, District Military Commander 0106/Central Aceh Lieutenant Colonel Czi Rudy Haryanto, Chairman of MPU Central Aceh Tgk. Drs. Amry Jalaluddin, Rector of IAIN Takengon Prof. Dr. Ridwan Nurdin, MCL, alongside representatives from local government, TNI-Polri, as well as religious and community leaders.

The event concluded with an Islamic sermon delivered by Dr. Tgk. Ramsah Ali, M.Pd. l Gona
