Aceh – Indonesia, Acting Regional Secretary of Aceh, Taufik, accompanied by Assistant for General Administration A. Murtala, attended a meeting regarding the preparations for the XV Aceh Sports Week (PORA) in Aceh Jaya. The meeting took place in the Aceh Regional Secretary Meeting Room on Wednesday (10/7/2026).

During the meeting, Taufik stated that hosting PORA XV is a shared responsibility that requires serious preparation. He urged that schedule adjustments for PORA XV be finalized promptly, while keeping all stages of the event and ground readiness into account.

Taufik emphasized that setting a firm schedule is crucial to ensure PORA XV takes place before the next National Sports Week (PON). He appreciated the progress made so far while urging stakeholders to immediately address unresolved needs, particularly regarding funding and infrastructure readiness.

“This is our collective responsibility. We must expedite funding and infrastructure preparation given the increasingly tight timeline,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Aceh Youth and Sports Office (Dispora), T. Banta Nuzullah, reported on the preparation progress for PORA XV, focusing on venue readiness and match support facilities. He also presented several national sporting events that need to be considered when scheduling PORA XV.

On the same occasion, the Regent of Aceh Jaya, Safwandi, reaffirmed the Aceh Jaya Regency Government’s seriousness and commitment to hosting PORA XV. He expressed hope for optimal support from the Aceh Provincial Government to ensure the event’s success.

Through this meeting, the Aceh Provincial Government, via the Youth and Sports Office, committed to continuous coordination with the Aceh Jaya Regency Government and relevant stakeholders to address event needs, ensuring all stages proceed according to plan and preparations remain optimal.
