Addressing this trend, Epson introduced the SureColor V4000, its latest A1+ UV flatbed printer that combines large-format printing capabilities with a more compact design in Jakarta (10/7/2026).
As the latest addition to Epson’s SureColor V-Series lineup, this new printer is designed to help businesses bring more production in-house. By doing so, users can reduce reliance on third parties while maintaining consistent print quality.
The SureColor V4000 offers a print area up to A1+ size and can handle media up to 20 cm thick. These capabilities allow the printer to be used for a wide range of applications, from signage and display graphics to direct printing on rigid media such as phone cases and notebooks.
For businesses with limited production space, this capability is a key advantage offered by Epson. Despite offering a larger print area than standard A1 printers, the SureColor V4000 is engineered to optimize floor space efficiency.
This printer complements Epson’s commercial UV flatbed lineup, which previously featured the SureColor V7000. The introduction of the V4000 provides an option for businesses requiring professional UV flatbed technology tailored to more manageable floor space needs.
In terms of quality, the SureColor V4000 utilizes 10 UltraChrome UV ink colors, including grey, red, white, and varnish. This configuration is designed to deliver richer colors, smoother gradients, and sharp print details.
The inclusion of white ink and varnish also enables users to create various visual effects, such as textures, glossy finishes, and layered printing on various rigid media. The printer can even precisely print text as small as 2 points and ultra-fine lines.
Beyond quality, productivity is another key focus. The SureColor V4000 boasts print speeds of up to 4.6 square meters per hour. The A1+ flatbed bed allows multiple products or boards to be printed in a single run, optimizing production time and space.
Operational convenience is enhanced through front-access serviceability. Operators can easily perform routine tasks and replace consumables, minimizing potential disruptions to production workflows.
Epson has also equipped the SureColor V4000 with an automatic media height adjustment feature. This function automatically adjusts the print head position based on media thickness, reducing the need for manual setup when switching materials.
Ario Aditya, Head of Vertical Business at Epson Indonesia, stated that the SureColor V4000 was introduced to meet the growing market demand for production flexibility.
According to him, modern businesses require technology that delivers high-quality outputs while seamlessly scaling with business capacity, workspace limitations, and investment needs.
“The rising demand for customized products makes production flexibility increasingly crucial. Therefore, we present the SureColor V4000 as a professional UV flatbed solution that addresses workspace constraints and operational demands,” Ario said.

The SureColor V4000 will be available in Indonesia starting October 7, 2026. Product availability and configurations may vary by market.
