Aceh – Indonesia, The Operational Team of the Nagan Raya Police Narcotics Crime Investigation Unit arrested a man suspected of involvement in crystal methamphetamine abuse in Gunong Reubo Village, Kuala District, Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh, on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at around 03:52 WIB.

The suspect, identified by his initials ZF (26), is a resident of Simpang Empat Village, Kuala District, Nagan Raya. He was apprehended by police officers after they received information from the public regarding alleged drug abuse activities in the area.

Personnel from the Nagan Raya Police Narcotics Unit followed up on the tip-off by heading to the site suspected of being used for drug abuse activities.

During the operation, police discovered a package of crystal meth packed in a clear plastic clip bag, hidden inside a Sampoerna cigarette pack. The seized evidence weighed a gross total of 2.89 grams.

In addition to the crystal meth, officers also seized several other items alleged to be related to the case, including a black Redmi Android smartphone, a pyrex glass tube, IDR 1,198,000 in cash, and a black and yellow Honda CRF motorcycle without a license plate.

Nagan Raya Police Chief, Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police (AKBP) Muhamad Taufiq, S.I.K., M.H., through the Head of the Nagan Raya Police Narcotics Unit, Police Commissioner Assistant (AKP) Rachmad Mulyadi, S.H., stated that the arrest stemmed from a tip provided by the public.

“We acted on the information received from the community by visiting the location suspected of being used for drug abuse,” said Rachmad.

Following his arrest and an initial search, ZF and all seized evidence were taken to the Nagan Raya Police Headquarters for further questioning and legal proceedings.

In this case, ZF is charged under Article 114 paragraph (1) of Law No. 35 of 2009 on Narcotics, as well as other relevant criminal provisions based on the results of the investigation and applicable regulations.

He emphasized that public participation is vital in assisting the police to uncover drug networks and prevent their negative impacts on the community.
