Aceh – Indonesia, Acting Regional Secretary of Aceh, Taufik, officially opened the *Opening Ceremony of the Syariah Financial Fair (SYAFIF) Goes to Aceh* in the courtyard of the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, Banda Aceh, on Friday (10/9/2026).

‎On that occasion, Taufik read a written address from the Governor of Aceh, Muzakir Manaf, which emphasized the importance of strengthening the Sharia economy and finance to deliver tangible benefits to the public.

‎In the address, the Governor expressed his appreciation to the Financial Services Authority (OJK), alongside Sharia financial services actors, industry associations, and all stakeholders for organizing SYAFIF Goes to Aceh.
‎
‎According to him, the event serves as a key momentum to bring the public closer to various Sharia financial products and services, while expanding understanding regarding the benefits and development opportunities of the Islamic economy.
‎
‎For Aceh, bolstering the Sharia economy and finance holds strategic importance because Islamic values are an integral part of the community’s way of life. These values must be reflected not only in social and religious aspects, but also in productive, inclusive, and equitable economic activities.
‎
‎In the speech delivered by Taufik, the Governor also highlighted Aceh’s achievement in winning nine awards at the 2026 Adinata Syariah Awards. These accolades covered several sectors, including Islamic financial literacy and inclusion, Muslim-friendly tourism, Sharia business incubation, Islamic boarding school (pesantren) economy, Sharia microfinance, and halal culinary development.

‎Nevertheless, these achievements should not remain a mere source of pride or accolades, but rather serve as encouragement to further strengthen Sharia economic development that directly impacts public welfare.

‎”We hope that more micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) will gain access to financing, the younger generation will gain a better understanding of financial management, and the economic independence of Islamic boarding schools as well as the development of Aceh’s flagship products through the halal industry will continue to rise,” said Taufik, reading the Governor’s speech.

‎The Governor also invited the public to utilize SYAFIF Goes to Aceh as a platform to learn, consult, get acquainted with Sharia financial products and services, and unlock opportunities for business growth and collaboration.
‎
‎He added that the Aceh Provincial Government will continue to reinforce collaboration with the OJK, financial institutions, the business sector, universities, Islamic boarding schools, and other stakeholders to drive Sharia economic growth.
‎
‎Through such collaboration, the Sharia economy is expected not only to grow as a concept, but also to become a real force in opening business opportunities, creating jobs, improving welfare, and bringing shared prosperity to the people of Aceh.

‎The SYAFIF Goes to Aceh event is anticipated to expand Sharia financial literacy and inclusion while reinforcing the Sharia economic ecosystem in Aceh. []
