Aceh – Indonesia, The Medical Laboratory Technology (TLM) Student Association organized a free health check-up event for the public in the Banda Aceh Car Free Day area on Sunday, October 4, 2026.

This initiative targeted Car Free Day visitors looking to get their health checked free of charge.

Coordinated by Ahmad Khadafi, the event took place in the courtyard of the Aceh Health Training Center (Bapelkes) as a joint collaboration between the Medical Laboratory Technology Student Association and the Banda Aceh Public Health Laboratory Center (BLKM).

During the event, the public took advantage of free health screening services while receiving information and education on the importance of maintaining good health and undergoing routine check-ups.

The event also served as a meaningful contribution from Medical Laboratory Technology students toward providing public health services and education. Beyond offering direct benefits to Car Free Day visitors, it gave students a hands-on opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills gained during their academic training.

Ahmad Khadafi, the event coordinator, expressed his hope that this initiative would raise public awareness about the necessity of regular health screenings.

“Through this program, we hope people become more proactive about their health and don’t wait until they fall ill to get checked. We also want to make a real contribution to the community using the knowledge and skills we have,” he stated.

He added that these free health checks are expected to serve as a simple step toward raising community awareness about early detection and healthy living, while strengthening collaboration between students and health laboratory service institutions for the benefit of the public. (rus)
