The letter stated that the decision to temporarily halt the congress stages was made after PSSI observed the dynamics unfolding within the Aceh PSSI environment ahead of the event.

PSSI also noted that it had received input through letters submitted by members and football stakeholders across Aceh Province.

“PSSI hereby requests the Aceh PSSI to temporarily suspend the stages and implementation of the Aceh PSSI Ordinary Elective Congress,” the letter read.

PSSI explained that the temporary suspension was imposed to ensure that the functions and operations of the Aceh PSSI remain aligned with the PSSI Statutes and applicable organizational regulations.

Additionally, the measure is intended to provide certainty throughout the organization of the Aceh Provincial PSSI Ordinary Elective Congress for the 2026-2030 term.

The official letter was signed by the Secretary General of PSSI, Yunus Nusi.

Copies of the letter were also sent to the General Chairman of PSSI, the PSSI Executive Committee, and the Chairman of KONI Aceh.
