Aceh – Indonesia, The Regent of Central Aceh expressed his appreciation for the performance of Safrizal ZA, Head of the Regional Command Post for the Aceh Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Acceleration Task Force (Satgas PRR). Safrizal was praised for being responsive and solution-oriented in assisting the local government to accelerate budget realization.
The Central Aceh Regent conveyed this appreciation during the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Post-Disaster PRR Task Force Gathering for the Aceh region in Takengon on Friday (10/2/2026).
The FGD was led directly by the Head of the Regional Command Post for the Aceh PRR Task Force, Safrizal ZA. The agenda included presentations on progress, evaluations of post-disaster management, and disclosures of TKD budget realization by respective regional heads.
“Frankly, the Regional Command Post PRR Task Force led by Safrizal has been extremely helpful to us. They don’t just come to record problems, but immediately seek solutions. They are highly responsive and solution-oriented,” the Central Aceh Regent stated during the forum.
*50 Percent Realization Target*
During the forum, the Central Aceh Regency Government agreed on a target to achieve at least 50 percent budget realization by the end of October 2026.
According to the Regent, this target is realistic now that various technical and administrative obstacles have been resolved alongside the Aceh PRR Task Force.
“The target for budget realization by the end of October is at least 50 percent or higher. We have worked together with Regional Command Post Head Safrizal to resolve all obstacles,” he said.
*Hopes for Follow-Up Coordination Meeting in Central Aceh*
Furthermore, the Regent of Central Aceh expressed hope that the follow-up coordination meeting could once again be held in Central Aceh.
In his view, the central region of Aceh requires special attention and intensive coordination with the central government due to geographical challenges and limited connectivity.
“We hope the follow-up coordination meeting will be held again in Central Aceh. This central region needs a special touch. Holding the meeting here allows us to directly observe field conditions,” he added.
*Central Government Support for Central Aceh Region*
On that occasion, the Central Aceh Regent also extended his gratitude for the central government’s support regarding the development of central Aceh, both in terms of accelerating budget realization and providing strategic infrastructure support.
“Thank you to the central government. The support for the central region of Aceh has been extraordinary. This proves the state’s presence in the Gayo Highlands,” the Regent concluded.
As is widely known, the central region of Aceh is currently being encouraged to enhance inter-regional connectivity while bolstering national strategic tourism areas, supported by development programs for its flagship commodity, Gayo Coffee.
