Aceh – Indonesia, Deputy Governor of Aceh, Fadhlullah (Dek Fadh), inspected several infrastructure sites and river areas in Bireuen Regency and North Aceh Regency on Monday (5/10/2026).
The field inspection was conducted following reports from various parties and local residents regarding the condition of several infrastructure sites and river zones that require immediate attention and handling.
Consequently, the Deputy Governor went directly to the field to assess the actual conditions while gathering input regarding necessary responses at each location.
Prior to continuing his inspection in Bireuen and North Aceh Regencies, the Deputy Governor visited a location in Pidie Jaya Regency. During the visit, Dek Fadh was accompanied by the Regional Secretary of Pidie Jaya Regency along with officials from the Pidie Jaya Regency Government. The visit was also part of a series of field inspections aimed at directly observing infrastructure conditions and various issues that demand government attention and intervention.
Moving on to the next site, the Deputy Governor inspected the Teupin Mane Bridge in Juli District, Bireuen Regency, alongside officials from the Bireuen Regency Government. From there, he proceeded to Krueng Simpoh in Bireuen Regency to inspect the surrounding area, the river flow, and the required on-site measures.
Afterward, the Deputy Governor traveled to North Aceh to inspect the Sawang River. At this location, he directly observed the condition of the river and its surrounding area accompanied by the Deputy Regent of North Aceh, Tarmizi, and officials from the North Aceh Regency Government.
The series of inspections continued to the construction site of the embankment and riverbank protection structure along the Krueng Sawang River in North Aceh. The Deputy Governor observed the progress of the work and the condition of the riverbank while holding discussions with relevant officials regarding required management and development needs in the area.
Accompanying the Deputy Governor during the inspection tour were the Acting Head of UPTD Region II of the Aceh Public Works and Spatial Planning Office, Ruthmilla Devi; Head of UPTD V of Aceh Water Resources, Bambang Yusri; Head of the Prevention and Preparedness Division at BPBA, Bobby Syahputra; Head of the Aceh Regional Secretariat Bureau of Administration, Akkar Arafat; as well as local government officials, technical teams, and river basin management agencies overseeing the visited locations.
Dek Fadh stated that direct field inspections at these locations were essential to observe the actual conditions and ensure that infrastructure issues affecting public interests receive government attention. According to him, reports from the public and various stakeholders serve as crucial data for the government in determining appropriate action.
“Inspections like this are crucial so we can directly observe field conditions, identify needs, and determine what requires immediate follow-up,” Fadhlullah said.
The Aceh Provincial Government, Dek Fadh added, will continue to coordinate with regency governments, technical teams, and relevant river basin management agencies so that every identified issue can be addressed according to official authority, field conditions, and public needs.
“The government must be present to witness field issues firsthand. We are coordinating with technical teams and managing agencies to ensure the steps taken truly align with conditions and needs on the ground,” Dek Fadh added.
