Nazir Adam secured 33 out of 40 total votes. Meanwhile, seven other voters were absent from the congress, which was attended by representatives from Regency Associations (Askab), City Associations (Askot), and football clubs across Aceh.
In his speech following the election, Nazir called on all Aceh football stakeholders to unite and collaborate in tackling various challenges to advance regional football.
He added that the real struggle to build Aceh’s football scene is just beginning after the congress.
βWe must hold hands and maintain togetherness in managing the organization over the next four years,β Nazir stated.
Furthermore, Nazir urged the central PSSI to respect the congress results and follow up in accordance with the organizational statutes.
He expressed hope that differences of opinion during the election process would not escalate into conflicts that harm the camaraderie among Aceh’s football community.
βFootball is brotherhood; football is family. We hope the central PSSI does not do anything that causes us to fight here simply due to differences of opinion,β he said.
Nazir emphasized that all organizational procedures must be conducted based on the statutes, free from specific interests or unsanctioned intervention. According to him, adherence to the statutes serves as a crucial foundation for preserving unity and sustaining football development in Aceh.
He also requested the central PSSI to immediately process the congress outcome through the appropriate mechanisms to prevent prolonged polemics. Nazir reminded that differing views should be resolved through organizational channels without sacrificing relationships between clubs and football stakeholders in Aceh. ***
