Aceh – Indonesia, Nazir Adam has once again been entrusted to lead the Aceh PSSI for the 2026-2030 period after securing 33 votes at the 2026 Aceh PSSI Ordinary Congress held in Sigli, Pidie Regency, Saturday, October 3, 2026.
Nazir earned 33 out of 40 eligible voter votes. Seven voters were absent from the congress, which was attended by representatives from Regency Associations (Askab), City Associations (Askot), and football clubs across Aceh.
Following his re-election, Nazir Adam described the mandate as a major responsibility. He called on all elements of Acehnese football to unite and collaborate in facing various challenges while advancing regional football.
βThis mandate is certainly a heavy burden. I hope we can row this boat together; please do not leave me to walk alone,β he said.
According to Nazir, the struggle to build Acehnese football has only just begun following the congress. Therefore, he urged all stakeholders to join hands and maintain unity in running the organization over the next four years.
Urges Central PSSI to Respect Congress Results
In addition to calling for unity among Acehnese football elements, Nazir urged the Central PSSI to respect the congress results and follow up in accordance with the organization’s statutes.
He expressed hope that differences of opinion during the election process would not escalate into conflicts that could damage the brotherhood among Acehnese football figures.
βFootball is brotherhood; football is family. We hope the Central PSSI does not take actions that could cause us to fight here simply due to differences of opinion,β he stated.
Nazir emphasized that all organizational processes must be conducted based on the statutes, rather than specific interests or interventions that lack a regulatory basis.
According to him, adherence to the statutes serves as an essential foundation for maintaining unity and sustaining football development in Aceh.
He also requested that the Central PSSI promptly process the congress results through the established mechanisms to prevent prolonged controversy.
Nazir reminded everyone that differing views should be resolved through official organizational channels without sacrificing relationships between clubs or football stakeholders in Aceh.
βWe do not want Acehnese football to be ruined over this issue. Every process has its rules in the statutes, including how to determine who is wrong and who is right,β he added.
Invites All Parties to Face Challenges Together
Nazir expressed hope that all parties would view the congress results objectively. He also pointed out that the statutes provide further mechanisms for interested parties if the congress outcomes are not acted upon according to organizational provisions.
He hopes his leadership will once again receive full support from all elements of Acehnese football. With this support and cooperation, Nazir believes that various challenges over the next four years can be faced together, allowing the nurture and development of Acehnese football to continue moving forward.
