Aceh – Indonesia, President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated Syahganda Nainggolan as the Head of the Government Communication Agency (Bakom). Syahganda has long been known as an activist and academic focusing on political issues.
Quoted from detikcom reporting, Syahganda Nainggolan is recognized as an activist, academic/policy analyst, and prominent figure active in political and labor issues. He was born in Medan on November 27, 1965.
He became an activist during his student days at ITB in the 1980s. Due to his political activities, he was sentenced to 10 months in prison during the New Order era.
Following the New Order era, Syahganda remained active in political organizations. He joined the People’s Sovereignty Union (PDR) and later helped establish the Merdeka Party.
He later served as a Commissioner for Pelindo II during the administration of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY). In 2010, Syahganda founded the Sabang Merauke Circle (SMC), a study/consulting institute operating in politics and public policy.
Syahganda’s name made headlines in 2020 when he became one of the key figures in the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (KAMI).
Later, during Prabowo’s administration, he co-founded a think tank called the GREAT Institute, a research institution in the fields of economics, politics, and technology.
President Prabowo subsequently inaugurated Syahganda as the Head of the Government Communication Agency (Bakom), replacing Muhammad Qodari. The inauguration took place at the State Palace, based on Presidential Decree No. 106/P of 2026.

Prabowo also inaugurated Fadli Tri Hartono as the Deputy Head of Bakom. Quoted from the PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk website, Fadli has served as the President Commissioner of PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk since 2025.
Fadli Tri Hartono holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics from the Bandung Institute of Technology (2012) and a Master’s in Public Administration from Tsinghua University in 2021.
Fadli Tri Hartono began his career as Secretary of the Executive Board of the Yayasan Pendidikan Kebangsaan Republik Indonesia (2019–2023) and Vice Rector IV for Cooperation at Universitas Kebangsaan Republik Indonesia (2022–2023). Additionally, he served as Special Staff to the Minister of the State Secretariat.(*)
