Aceh – Indonesia, The polemic surrounding the validity of the Aceh PSSI Ordinary Congress for the selection of the 2026-2030 leadership has received clarification from the central PSSI. Central PSSI Executive Committee (Exco) member Juni Rahman stated that the congress held in Sigli, Pidie Regency, on Saturday, October 3, 2026, was conducted in accordance with the organization’s statutes.

Juni Rahman made the statement during his opening address at the 2026 Aceh PSSI Congress in Sigli. According to him, the implementation of the congress met all applicable PSSI regulations.

“In my assessment as a Central PSSI Exco member, it complies with the statutes. This ensures the congress can run orderly without interference from any party,” he said.

Juni Rahman called on all participants of the Aceh PSSI Congress to maintain a conducive atmosphere. Differing views and choices in the election, he noted, are part of organizational dynamics.

He emphasized that the spirit of the football family must remain the foundation, warning against allowing differences in choices to cause divisions within Aceh football.

He also reiterated the importance of organizational independence. PSSI statutes strictly prohibit any third-party intervention that could disrupt the organization’s operations. Any violation of these provisions could result in sanctions from higher football associations.

“We hope this congress runs smoothly until the end without any obstacles,” he added.

Juni Rahman also expressed appreciation for the support provided by the Aceh Provincial Government, the Pidie Regency Government, and all congress participants. He confirmed he would oversee the entire agenda until completion.

He stressed that the leadership election process for Aceh PSSI must proceed well and produce decisions that prioritize the best interests of football in Aceh.
