Aceh – Indonesia, President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated retired TNI General Dudung Abdurachman as the Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam), replacing Djamari Chaniago, at the State Palace in Jakarta on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
According to a broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube channel, the ceremony began with the national anthem, Indonesia Raya, followed by the reading of Presidential Decree No. 104/P of 2026 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of State Ministers and Deputy Ministers of the Red and White Cabinet for the 2024โ2029 Period.
Dudung then took his oath of office, guided by the President, pledging to faithfully uphold all laws and regulations in service to the nation and the State. “I will uphold professional ethics and execute my duties to the best of my ability with a full sense of responsibility,” he stated.
Following the oath, the inauguration ceremony proceeded with the signing of the official minutes by Dudung, which was then endorsed by President Prabowo.
President Prabowo subsequently extended his congratulations to Dudung and the other newly inaugurated state officials.
Dudung previously served as the Chief of the Presidential Staff (KSP).
The post of Chief of the Presidential Staff vacated by Dudung was subsequently filled by Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
In addition to Dudung, several other state officials were inaugurated by the President at the State Palace today, including Police Commissioner General Suyudi Ario Seto as Chief of the National Police, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo as Chief of the Presidential Staff, Sugiono as Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs, Sarmuji as Minister of Industry, Arrmanatha Nasir as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Police Commissioner General Dedy Prasetyo as Head of the National Agrarian Reform Agency, and Bahlil Lahadalia as Coordinating Minister for Downstream Industry and Energy Transition.
Today’s inauguration ceremony forms part of the latest cabinet reshuffleโthe seventh during the two years of President Prabowo’s administration.
The event was attended by several state officials, including coordinating ministers from the Red and White Cabinet, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.***
