Aceh – Indonesia, Regent of Bener Meriah, Ir. Tagore Abubakar, laid the first stone for the construction of Permanent Housing (Huntap) in Wonosobo Village, Wih Pesam District, Bener Meriah Regency, on Tuesday (6/10/2026).

The construction of Huntap is aimed at providing decent and safe housing for the beneficiaries. The Bener Meriah Regency Government hopes the construction will be completed according to schedule and meet housing habitability standards.

Following the ground-breaking ceremony, Tagore stated that the local government is committed to ensuring Huntap serves not only as a place to live, but also meets safety, health, and decency standards for residents.

“This construction represents the government’s commitment and presence in providing safe housing facilities for our community. We want to ensure that these buildings meet proper habitability standards, allowing residents to live peacefully and improve their welfare,” Tagore said during a press conference at the construction site.

According to Tagore, the Huntap construction is part of the local government’s efforts toward the recovery and structuring of residential areas. He expressed hope that the project’s execution will remain on schedule and on target.

The Bener Meriah Regency Government also stated it will prioritize the recovery and arrangement of residential areas while considering environmental aspects and disaster preparedness throughout the remainder of the 2026 fiscal year.

The event was also attended by members of Forkopimda and Forkopimda Plus, heads of relevant SKPK, elements of the Wih Pesam District Muspika, community leaders, and local residents. I Arlubis
