Aceh – Indonesia, The Southeast Aceh Regency Government aims to achieve a 100 percent realization of regional transfer funds (TKD) before December 15, 2026. Accelerating budget absorption has become a key focus for the local government, particularly to support development and post-hydrometeorological disaster recovery.
This target was delivered by the Regent of Southeast Aceh, Muhammad Salim Fakhry, during the signing of an official record with the Head of the Central Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Acceleration Task Force (Satgas PRRP) Team from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Imran, at the Southeast Aceh Regent’s Office on Thursday, October 8, 2026.
βWe and all regional apparatus organizations (OPD) have committed to ensuring that for this fiscal year, all accountability reporting and budget absorption realization can, God willing, reach 100 percent,β said Salim Fakhry.
Southeast Aceh Regency received a TKD allocation of Rp12.8 billion. To date, budget realization has reached Rp5.2 billion, or 41.5 percent. Approximately Rp7.6 billion still needs to be absorbed by the end of the fiscal year.
Salim Fakhry instructed the regional secretary and all OPD recipients of TKD to expedite budget absorption and regularly monitor its execution. He emphasized that this acceleration is the responsibility of the regency government to ensure budget targets are met ahead of the deadline.
In addition to TKD absorption, the Southeast Aceh Regency Government is pushing for the accelerated reconstruction of infrastructure damaged by hydrometeorological disasters in 2025. One top priority is the Mbarung Bridge, which connects Babussalam District with Lawe Alas, Tanoh Alas, and Darul Hasanah Districts.
The bridge is currently completely severed. Its construction was originally included in the 2028 master plan, but the regency government has requested that work be expedited and realized by 2027 at the latest.
According to Salim Fakhry, the bridge is crucial for supporting local economic activities. Efforts to build a temporary alternative route have failed, as the access roads created were repeatedly washed away by water currents. βThis bridge is vital to the community’s economy,β he stated.
Imran, Head of the Ministry of Home Affairs’ Satgas PRRP Team, commended the Southeast Aceh Regency Government’s efforts to boost TKD realization over the past month. He noted that these actions could serve as an example for other regions where transfer fund realization remains below 30 percent.
Imran added that the regency government’s input regarding accelerated post-disaster infrastructure development would be noted by Satgas PRRP. βBridges and rivers are strategic infrastructure that must be resolved immediately during this rehabilitation and reconstruction phase,β he said. [*]
