Aceh – Indonesia, The Southeast Aceh Regency Government has set a target to achieve 100 percent realization of regional transfer funds (TKD) before December 15, 2026.

Accelerating budget absorption has become a key focus for the local government, particularly to support development and recovery following hydrometeorological disasters.

Southeast Aceh Regent Muhammad Salim Fakhry announced the target during the signing of a joint official report with Imran, Head of the Central Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Acceleration Task Force (Satgas PRRP) Team from the Ministry of Home Affairs, at the Southeast Aceh Regent’s Office on Thursday, October 8, 2026.

β€œWe and all regional government agencies have committed to ensuring that for this fiscal year, God willing, all accountability reports and budget absorption realization will reach 100 percent,” Salim Fakhry said.

Southeast Aceh Regency received a total TKD allocation of Rp12.8 billion.

To date, budget realization has reached Rp5.2 billion, or 41.5 percent.

Approximately Rp7.6 billion remains to be disbursed before the end of the fiscal year.

Salim Fakhry instructed the regional secretary and all recipient regional government agencies (OPD) to accelerate budget absorption and monitor its progress regularly.

He emphasized that this acceleration is the responsibility of the regency government to ensure budget absorption targets are met within the deadline.

In addition to absorbing TKD funds, the Southeast Aceh Regency Government is also pushing for the accelerated reconstruction of infrastructure damaged by hydrometeorological disasters in 2025.

One of the top priorities is the reconstruction of the Mbarung Bridge, which connects Babussalam District with Lawe Alas, Tanoh Alas, and Darul Hasanah Districts.

The bridge is currently completely severed. Although its reconstruction was originally included in the 2028 master plan, the regency government has requested that the work be expedited and completed no later than 2027.

According to Salim Fakhry, the bridge plays a crucial role in supporting local economic activities.

Efforts to build an emergency detour have failed, as the temporary access road has repeatedly been destroyed by water currents.

β€œThis bridge is vital to sustaining the community’s economy,” he stated.

Imran, Head of the Ministry of Home Affairs’ Satgas PRRP Team, commended the Southeast Aceh Regency Government’s steps in accelerating TKD realization over the past month.

He noted that these efforts could serve as a model for other regions where regional transfer realizations remain below 30 percent.

Imran also affirmed that the regency government’s input regarding post-disaster infrastructure acceleration would be noted by the Satgas PRRP.

β€œBridges and river infrastructure are strategic priorities that must be resolved quickly during this rehabilitation and reconstruction phase,” he added. ***
