STAI Tgk Chik Pante Kulu and UniSZA Strengthen International Cooperation

Aceh – Indonesia, Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam (STAI) Tgk. Chik Pante Kulu Banda Aceh continues to expand its international academic network, marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Malaysia, on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

The signing ceremony was attended directly by the Vice-Chancellor (Rector) of UniSZA, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Fadzli bin Adam, alongside the Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Contemporary Studies (FKI) UniSZA, Prof. Dr. Engku Muhammad Tajuddin bin Engku Ali.

Representing STAI Tgk. Chik Pante Kulu, the event was attended by the Chairperson of STAI Tgk. Chik Pante Kulu, Dr. Sarina Aini, Lc., M.A., Ph.D.

This partnership marks an important milestone for both institutions in strengthening collaboration in education, research, community service, scientific publication, human resource development, and various other academic activities.

Interestingly, the MoU signing was also held alongside an International Conference featuring presenters and academics from various countries. The forum served as a platform for exchanging ideas and research findings while expanding cross-border academic networks.

The Chairperson of STAI Tgk. Chik Pante Kulu, Dr. Sarina Aini, Lc., MA. Ph.D., stated that the partnership with UniSZA is part of the institution’s strategic efforts to enhance academic quality while creating broader collaborative opportunities for faculty and students.

β€œThis partnership goes beyond signing an MoU; it is about building real and sustainable collaboration. We hope this synergy opens more avenues for lecturers and students of STAI Tgk. Chik Pante Kulu to engage in international academic forums,” she said.

She added that STAI Tgk. Chik Pante Kulu’s involvement in the international conference reflects the campus’s commitment to reinforcing academic tradition and raising the profile of Acehnese Islamic higher education institutions regionally and internationally.

The event also serves as momentum for STAI Tgk. Chik Pante Kulu to move toward becoming a more open, adaptive, and competitive institution while preserving its identity as a Dayah-based campus. (rao)
