Aceh – Indonesia, Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh secured its first gold medal at the 4th Student Creativity Week (PKM IV) for State Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIN) across Sumatra 2026, held at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang, South Sumatra. The achievement was delivered by Rahmatul Husna in the Musabaqah Qiraatul Kutub (MQK) category on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
Rahmatul Husna is an Arabic Language Education student at the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, UIN Ar-Raniry. She is one of four students representing UIN Ar-Raniry across various competition branches at PKM IV PTKIN Sumatra 2026.
Head of the UIN Ar-Raniry Contingent, Dr. Mawardi, stated that UIN Ar-Raniry dispatched four students to participate in the competition.
The four students are Rahmatul Husna in the MQK branch; M. Syaqi Dibran Pratama from the Comparative Schools of Thought and Law Study Program in the 30 Juz Qur’an Memorization (MHQ) branch; as well as Raisya Annazira from the Qur’anic Studies and Exegesis Study Program and Nahzatusy Syima from the Faculty of Sharia and Law in the 20 Juz MHQ branch.
“Four UIN Ar-Raniry students are participating in the 4th Sumatra-wide PKM, taking place in Palembang from September 29 to October 2, 2026,” said Mawardi.
Beyond being a competition, PKM IV serves as a venue for students to develop their talents, broaden their experience, and strengthen friendship and collaboration among PTKIN students across Sumatra.
A total of 768 participants from 22 PTKIN are competing in 37 categories. Twenty-five categories were conducted online prior to the offline competition series held at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang.
PKM IV PTKIN Sumatra carries the theme “Develop Student Talent, Uphold Sportsmanship, Achieve Recognition, and Strengthen Collaboration Toward Golden Indonesia.”
The offline competition will run until October 2, 2026. The UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh contingent continues to compete in several remaining branches until the conclusion of PKM IV.
