NUKILAN.ID | BLANGPIDIE – A total of 33 madrasah students under the auspices of the Southwest Aceh Regency Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kankemenag Abdya) are participating in an orientation and quarantine program in preparation for the 2026 Aceh Provincial-Level Indonesian Madrasah Olympiad (OMI).
The event, organized through the Islamic Education Section (Pendis) of Kankemenag Abdya, was officially opened.
The quarantine will run for five days, from September 25 to 30, 2026. Following the program, participants are scheduled to compete in the Aceh Provincial-Level OMI on October 5–6, 2026.
In his address, Dr. H. Marwan Z, S.Ag., M.M., expressed his appreciation to the Islamic Education Section for conducting the orientation for the OMI participants. According to him, the quarantine is an essential part of the students’ preparation to face the competition at the provincial level.
“This quarantine is a form of our earnest effort to stand on equal footing with students across Aceh, bringing Abdya’s name to the provincial stage and, hopefully, to the national level,” Marwan stated.
Marwan also reminded the participants to undergo the orientation process with dedication and to entrust the final outcome to Allah SWT.
“The results are in Allah’s hands. God willing, through our sincerity and prayers, we will achieve success,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Islamic Education Section at Kankemenag Abdya, Adihar, S.Pd.I., M.A., serving as the Committee Chairman, stated that the 33 students participating in the quarantine are candidates who passed at the regency level and will represent Abdya at the Aceh Provincial-Level OMI.
The participants consist of six MI (elementary) level students, eight MTs (junior high) level students, and 18 MA (senior high) level students. In addition to the students, the training program also involves 12 educators.
Adihar explained that the quarantine was conducted as specialized training for the participants prior to competing in the Aceh Provincial-Level OMI.
“That is why we are trying, following leadership directions, to hold this quarantine and specialized training, in hopes of achieving good results,” he concluded.[]
