Theacehpost.com | Banda Aceh – The Aceh Government has provided clarification regarding the pending disbursement of the educational assistance budget for students affected by the 2026 hydrometeorological disaster at the Aceh Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM).
As of September 25, 2026, the budget realization for BPSDM Aceh was still recorded at 0.00 percent. The Aceh Government explained that the budget was indeed allocated specifically for the education assistance program for students impacted by the hydrometeorological disaster.
Spokesperson for the Aceh Government, Nurlis Effendi, stated that the delay in disbursement does not mean the program is halted. He explained that administrative processing for the recipients remains the primary hurdle.
According to Nurlis, the final list of successful candidates was only announced on August 25, 2026, following a factual verification process in the field covering 18 disaster-affected regencies/cities.
Following the selection announcement, BPSDM Aceh initiated stages for re-registration, submission of physical documents, and validation of Bank Aceh Syariah account numbers. These stages ran until September 20, 2026.
“In fact, by the time the deadline passed, many students who passed the selection had not yet submitted or completed their administrative files and account numbers,” Nurlis said in a statement on Sunday (27/9/2026).
He explained that under state financial management regulations, scholarship assistance cannot be transferred until all recipient documents are fully verified.
Consequently, BPSDM Aceh is actively reaching out to collect and complete the outstanding files of those students.
“Because the outreach efforts to collect follow-up documents are still ongoing, the funds could not yet be disbursed from the regional treasury as of September 25,” Nurlis said.
Nurlis emphasized that the Aceh Government remains committed to ensuring that the disaster relief funds are properly targeted and fully accountable.
He also invited the public, journalists, and transparency advocates to monitor the realization progress of the additional Regional Transfer (TKD) through the official Aceh P2K-APBA portal.
“The public, journalists, and transparency advocates can directly monitor updates on this additional TKD realization independently via the official P2K-APBA Aceh portal. Every single rupiah of these hydrometeorological disaster funds must reach and truly benefit the people of Aceh,” he said. (Akhyar)
