Aceh – Indonesia, President Prabowo Subianto led the ceremony commemorating the 81st anniversary of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) held at the Prima Field, TNI Headquarters, Cilangkap, East Jakarta, on Monday (5/10/2026) morning.
During the ceremony, Prabowo was also scheduled to inaugurate and establish several new TNI units.
“One of the agendas in the Parade Ceremony is the inauguration and establishment of new units. From the Indonesian Army, it consists of 6 Kodams,” stated the TNI Information Center.
Currently, the Indonesian Army has 21 Kodams out of a total of 38 provinces. With the inauguration of 6 new Kodams, 11 more Kodams remain to be established.
Here is the list of the six newly inaugurated regional military commands (Kodam):
1. Kodam XXV/Mahmud Riayat Syah in Riau Islands Province (Kepri)
2. Kodam XXVI/Mataram in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province (DIY)
3. Kodam XXVII/Sobe Sonbai in East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT)
4. Kodam XXVIII/Moloku Kie Raha in North Maluku Province (Malut)
5. Kodam XXIX/Mambruk in Central Papua Province (Papteng)
6. Kodam XXX/Rinombara in West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB).(*)
