Aceh – Indonesia, Banda Aceh (Waspada Aceh) – The Banda Aceh City Government welcomes the investment plan proposed by PT APCA Tirta Engineering regarding the construction of The New Hotel Aceh—featuring a green building and green energy concept across from the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque—and the development of a Waste Management system in Banda Aceh City.

Therefore, the Mayor of Banda Aceh, Illiza Sa’aduddin Djamal, stated that support for the investment plan needs to be followed by thorough and measurable planning so that its implementation will provide optimal benefits for Banda Aceh City and its people.

“The Banda Aceh City Government welcomes and fully supports this collaboration so that it can be realized. We hope this investment will impact the increase of investment and economic growth in Banda Aceh City,” said Illiza, Wednesday (30/09/2026).

As a follow-up to the previous audience between the Banda Aceh City Government and PT APCA Tirta Engineering, Illiza requested that the investor submit a more detailed investment proposal.

“A more detailed proposal is essential so that the Banda Aceh City Government can comprehensively review the proposed investment plan. This is especially true regarding technical aspects, technology, land requirements, processing capacity, financing and investment schemes, economics, regional benefits, and cooperation schemes,” Illiza said.

Earlier, Illiza added that the investor had discussed the construction plan with the management of the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque. During the discussion, the mosque officials requested that the planned hotel have a direct connecting access to the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque via an underground passage.

“The access aims to make it easier for hotel guests who wish to worship at the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque. With this connecting path, hotel guests can reach the mosque without crossing public roads. Additionally, guests’ vehicles can be parked in the basement area of the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque,” Illiza noted. (*)
