Aceh – Indonesia, Banda Aceh (Waspada Aceh) – Bank Aceh and Commission III of the Aceh Regional House of Representatives (DPRA) are strengthening synergy in an effort to optimize Aceh’s Regional Original Revenue (PAA), particularly through improving Bank Aceh’s performance and contribution to the Aceh Government.
This issue emerged during a working meeting between DPRA Commission III and Bank Aceh’s Board of Directors on Wednesday (7/10/2026), which discussed the optimization of the 2026 PAA from Bank Aceh’s dividend sector as well as the bank’s latest performance developments.
During the meeting, Bank Aceh presented its performance updates and various strategic steps being taken to strengthen business growth, improve efficiency, and optimize Bank Aceh’s contribution to the local economy and regional revenue.
President Director of Bank Aceh, Fadhil Ilyas, stated that Bank Aceh is committed to continuously enhancing performance and providing an optimal contribution to Aceh.
“Bank Aceh is an integral part of Aceh’s economic ecosystem. Therefore, improving the Bank’s performance is not only in the company’s interest, but is also expected to deliver greater benefits to the community and the region, including through its contribution to Regional Original Revenue,” Fadhil said.
According to him, solid synergy and communication between Bank Aceh, the Aceh Government, and the DPRA are vital to reinforcing Bank Aceh’s role as a regional government-owned bank.
“Input and attention from DPRA Commission III are certainly crucial for us to continuously make improvements and strengthen performance. We hope this synergy can be maintained so that Bank Aceh becomes healthier, more competitive, and capable of making an even greater contribution to Aceh’s development,” he added.
Meanwhile, DPRA Commission III, led by Hj. Aisyah Ismail, emphasized the importance of optimizing Bank Aceh’s performance to steadily increase its contribution to regional revenue, while maintaining good corporate governance principles and sustainable bank performance.
Bank Aceh also continues to push for business development and service quality improvements, including strengthening foreign exchange transactions and preparing to become a full-fledged foreign exchange bank as part of its future business growth strategy.
During the meeting, DPRA Commission III expressed its full support for Bank Aceh’s steps to accelerate its readiness toward becoming a foreign exchange bank. This support is expected to strengthen Bank Aceh’s capacity and competitiveness, while unlocking broader opportunities to support economic activities and public transactions in Aceh.
DPRA Commission III also urged that preparations to become a foreign exchange bank proceed in a measured manner, taking into account regulations, governance, human resource readiness, systems, infrastructure, and risk management.
The synergy among Bank Aceh, the Aceh Government, and the DPRA is expected to be further strengthened to foster better bank performance, increase contributions to PAA, and support economic growth and the welfare of the people of Aceh. (*)
