Aceh – Indonesia, Banda Aceh (Waspada Aceh) – A total of 24 financial service providers enlivened the Sharia Financial Fair (Syafif) Goes to Aceh, centered at the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque in Banda Aceh from October 9 to 11, 2026.

The event, organized by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) under the theme “Equal Financial Access, Empowered Economy, Prosperous Society,” was officially opened.

The opening ceremony was attended by OJK Financial Inclusion Director Andi Muhammad Yusuf, Head of OJK Aceh Daddi Peryoga, Chairman of the Aceh Ulema Consultative Assembly (MPU) Lem Faisal, Rector of Syiah Kuala University Mirza Tabrani, along with several other officials.

The Governor of Aceh stated that the Aceh Provincial Government appreciates the OJK and all financial service industry players for bringing the Islamic financial services exhibition to the Land of Veranda of Mecca.

“Strengthening the Islamic economy holds strategic importance for Aceh. Therefore, the development of Islamic finance needs to be directed not only at reinforcing the financial system, but also at providing tangible benefits to the community,” the Governor said.

The Governor expressed hope that through Syafif Goes to Aceh, more business actors would gain access to capital, enabling them to expand their businesses, increase productivity, and boost the regional economy.

“The Aceh Government continues to strengthen synergy among local government, OJK, Islamic banks, and business players to achieve more equitable financial access and improve public welfare,” he added.

OJK Financial Inclusion Director Andi Muhammad Yusuf expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Aceh Government, OJK Aceh, and all stakeholders supporting the execution of Syafif Goes to Aceh.

“The development of the Islamic financial services industry requires support and collaboration from all stakeholders so that the financial system can grow and reach more segments of society,” he noted.

Meanwhile, Head of OJK Aceh Daddi Peryoga said that holding SYAFIF is part of an effort to bring the financial services industry closer to the public.

“The presence of dozens of financial service providers gives the public an opportunity to learn more about various Islamic financial products and services, ranging from banking and financing to other financial services,” Daddi said.

According to him, Syafif Goes to Aceh is expected to strengthen synergy between financial industry players and the public in driving regional economic growth.

“Holding this event in a public space, such as the yard of the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, is a step to bring OJK and the financial services industry closer to the community,” he explained.

Syafif Goes to Aceh serves as momentum to boost Islamic financial literacy and inclusion in Aceh, a region with special autonomy in implementing Islamic sharia principles.

With the participation of 24 financial service providers, the event is expected to broaden the reach of information regarding Islamic financial products and encourage the public to utilize financial services wisely and according to their needs.

“The success of financial inclusion programs is measured not only by holding various events, but also by how far access to financial services becomes more open and utilized by the public,” he stated. (*)
