Aceh – Indonesia, Redelong, BERITAMERDEKA.net-Traffic flow along the border area of the KKA line, specifically at Burni Pase, Guci Village, Permata District, Bener Meriah Regency, has been fully restored. Access to the road is now back to normal and accessible for both two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles as of Friday, October 9, 2026.

Previously, transportation around these hills experienced severe delays. Commuters were forced to queue due to the implementation of an alternate one-way traffic system implemented to ensure safety during road repairs and the clearing of landslide debris left over from a disaster a year ago.

According to on-the-ground observations by journalists, an excavator was deployed to clear remaining soil that covered the asphalt surface and posed a danger to passing motorists.

At present, repairs in the vulnerable area appear to be 100 percent complete. 

Traffic from both directions, whether traveling from Lhokseumawe to Bener Meriah or vice versa, is now moving smoothly without further queuing delays.

Following the full reopening, the public is urged to remain vigilant. Wet mud remaining on the asphalt surface requires high caution, particularly during rainy weather. Truck drivers and private vehicle owners are asked to continue adhering to local traffic guidelines for mutual safety.(Arlubis)
