Aceh – Indonesia, The Southeast Aceh Regency Government targets the realization of regional transfer funds (TKD) to reach 100 percent before December 15, 2026. Accelerating the absorption of the budget is a major focus for the local government, particularly to support development and post-hydrometeorological disaster recovery.

This target was conveyed by the Regent of Southeast Aceh, Muhammad Salim Fakhry, while signing a joint official record with the Head of the Central Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Acceleration Task Force (Satgas PRRP) Team from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Imran, at the Southeast Aceh Regent’s Office on Thursday (10/8/2026).

“We and all regional government agencies (OPD) have committed to ensuring that in this fiscal year, all accountability and budget absorption realization, God willing, can be achieved at 100 percent,” said Salim Fakhry.

Southeast Aceh Regency received a TKD allocation of Rp12.8 billion. To date, budget realization has reached Rp5.2 billion or 41.5 percent, leaving approximately Rp7.6 billion to be realized by the end of the fiscal year.

Salim Fakhry instructed the regional secretary and all OPD recipients of TKD to expedite budget absorption and monitor its progress periodically. He emphasized that this acceleration is the responsibility of the regency government to ensure the budget absorption target is met according to the deadline.

In addition to TKD absorption, the Southeast Aceh Regency Government is also pushing for the accelerated reconstruction of infrastructure damaged by the 2025 hydrometeorological disasters. A key priority is the construction of the Mbarung Bridge, which connects Babussalam District with Lawe Alas, Tanoh Alas, and Darul Hasanah Districts.

The bridge is currently completely severed. Its construction was initially included in the 2028 master plan, but the regency government has requested that the project be expedited and realized by 2027 at the latest.

According to Salim Fakhry, the bridge is vital for supporting local economic activities. Attempts to build emergency alternative roads have been unsuccessful, as the temporary access routes were repeatedly destroyed by water currents. “This bridge is one of the key structures that directly impacts the community’s economy,” he stated.

The Head of the Ministry of Home Affairs’ Satgas PRRP Team, Imran, commended the Southeast Aceh Regency Government’s steps in accelerating TKD realization over the past month. He believes these efforts could serve as a model for other regions whose regional transfer realizations remain below 30 percent.

Imran also noted that the regency government’s input regarding accelerated post-disaster infrastructure development would be addressed by the Satgas PRRP. “Bridge and river infrastructure are strategic elements that must be completed promptly during this rehabilitation and reconstruction period,” he said.
