Aceh – Indonesia, Acting Regional Secretary of Aceh, Taufik, ST, M.Si., attended a Plenary Session of the Aceh People’s Representative Council (DPRA) at the Main DPRA Building in Banda Aceh on Thursday (10/8/2026).

The plenary session’s agenda was the official inauguration of an interim replacement (PAW) member of the DPRA from the United Development Party (PPP) for the remainder of the 2024–2029 term.

During the meeting, Zaini Bakri was officially appointed as a member of the DPRA through the PAW mechanism, replacing Mawardi Basyah to serve out the remaining 2024–2029 term.

The appointment was based on the Decree of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 100.2.1.4-2242 of 2026.

In addition to the Acting Regional Secretary of Aceh, the plenary session was attended by several Aceh Provincial Government officials, including Assistants to the Regional Secretary, Expert Staff to the Governor of Aceh, Bureau Heads, and representatives from related Aceh Government Work Units (SKPA).

The inauguration of this interim replacement is part of the DPRA’s institutional process to ensure that legislative duties and functions continue to operate in accordance with statutory regulations.

The presence of the Aceh Government officials at the plenary session also reflects ongoing coordination between the executive and legislative branches in carrying out governance and development agendas in Aceh.

With his swearing-in as an interim replacement member, Zaini Bakri will now carry out his duties and functions as a DPRA member until the end of the 2024–2029 term in line with applicable regulations.
