Aceh – Indonesia, The Family Welfare Movement Mobilization Team (TP-PKK) of Nagan Raya Regency, Aceh, hosted a Diverse, Nutritious, Balanced, and Safe (B2SA) Menu Creation Contest, attended by sub-district TP-PKK chapters across Nagan Raya Regency.

The event was officially opened by the Chairperson of Nagan Raya TP-PKK, Mrs. Cut Inda TR. Keumangan, at the SPNF-SKB Hall in the Suka Makmue Office Complex on Thursday, October 8, 2026.

Chairperson of Nagan Raya TP-PKK, Mrs. Cut Inda TR. Keumangan, stated that the competition was not merely an arena for creativity in preparing and serving food.

“It also serves as an educational momentum for families regarding the importance of healthy and nutritious food consumption patterns,” she said.

According to her, the family is the primary and most essential environment in shaping food consumption habits. Therefore, the role of mothers and families is crucial in determining the types of food consumed daily.

She emphasized that healthy food does not always have to be expensive or use ingredients imported from outside the region.

“Our region possesses abundant local food potential that can be processed into healthy, nutritious, attractive meals with economic value,” she added.

Cut Inda invited all PKK cadres to continuously explore their creativity in utilizing Nagan Raya’s various local food products, such as rice, corn, cassava, fish, vegetables, fruits, and other food sources.

According to her, these local ingredients can be processed into delicious and attractive family meals that meet nutritional needs.

“A diverse, nutritious, balanced, and safe food consumption pattern is a vital part of developing the quality of human resources,” explained the wife of the Regent of Nagan Raya.

“Education on food and nutrition needs to be carried out continuously, especially to support efforts in preventing stunting, anemia, malnutrition, and various diseases related to food consumption patterns,” she continued.

She hopes that this activity will not end with the competition, but will instead encourage the implementation of the B2SA menu in daily family life.

“The creative menus produced today should be implemented in daily life and serve as an inspiration for families across Nagan Raya Regency,” she expressed.

Enhancing Local Food Processing Creativity

Meanwhile, the Chief Organizer, who is also the Head of Working Group (Pokja) III of Nagan Raya TP-PKK, Mrs. Cut Mawardi Salihin, mentioned that the B2SA Menu Creation Contest aims to boost participants’ creativity and skills in turning local food ingredients into dishes that fulfill diverse, nutritious, balanced, and safe principles.

“Hopefully, this event can serve as a platform for TP-PKK cadres to exchange experiences and develop innovations in local food processing that can be applied at the family and community levels,” she added.

6. 3rd Runner-up: Kuala Pesisir Sub-district
