βWe brought a fire truck entrusted by the Minister of Home Affairs to replace the unit damaged by the flood, along with 5 portable pumps,β Safrizal said.
According to Safrizal, the additional equipment is expected not only to replace damaged fleets but also to strengthen Aceh Tamiang’s preparedness in handling various emergency conditions, especially as Aceh Tamiang is currently undertaking post-disaster revamps.
βThis assistance is also expected to strengthen the preparedness of Aceh Tamiang, which has begun to rebuild, and serve as a strength for Aceh Tamiang Regency in serving the community,β Safrizal added.
He emphasized that adequate fire fighting facilities are crucial to ensure that local governments can respond swiftly when the public faces fire incidents or other emergency situations.
Regent of Aceh Tamiang Armia Fahmi expressed appreciation for the central government’s ongoing support for the region. He noted that the additional fleet and equipment are desperately needed after one of Aceh Tamiang’s fire trucks was ruined in the flood.
βThank you to President Prabowo, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, and Director General Safrizal for the assistance provided once again. During the recent flood, our fire truck was destroyed. With this aid, we will make the best use of it to serve the public,β the Regent of Aceh Tamiang stated.
The handover of this assistance is part of the government’s support in boosting local capacity following a disaster, while ensuring basic public services continue smoothly. The fire truck and five portable pumps are expected to be optimized immediately to support field readiness and accelerate response times.
For Aceh Tamiang, this additional equipment serves as a vital asset to keep recovering from the flood impacts while building regional resilience against potential future disasters and emergencies. (*)
