Aceh – Indonesia, Gerindra Party cadre and Governor of North Sumatra, Bobby Nasution, emphasized that Gerindra is the right platform to achieve the aspirations of the Indonesian nation. He also affirmed that he was able to reach his current position thanks to the support and hard work of the Gerindra Party.
He conveyed this during the North Sumatra Gerindra Party Laskar Training Program on Friday (2/10/2026) in Sibolangit, Deli Serdang Regency.
“Gerindra is a fitting and right home for us to fulfill the goals of the Indonesian nation. The Gerindra Party is not a party built without struggle, nor is it a party that suddenly became a winner. All of us, including myself, let us etch our names to elevate Gerindra’s reputation, at least in North Sumatra,” Bobby said, greeted by applause from the training participants standing in formation.
Bobby remarked that he should rightfully be standing in line alongside the training participants, considering he is still relatively new to the party founded by President Prabowo Subianto.
“To be honest, I should be standing alongside all of you, in your formation. Because I just joined (the Gerindra Party) as well; previously, I belonged to another party.
After spending several years with my previous party, I was dismissed and terminated,” Bobby said.
Following his dismissal from the former party, Bobby admitted feeling uneasy and restless.
“However, what gave me peace of mind was seeing Gerindra cadres and the Gerindra Party welcoming me with open arms at that time. This is my path, and I believe switching parties once is enough. Let me remain with the Gerindra Party,” said Bobby.
Also present at the training was the Chairman of North Sumatra Gerindra, Ade Jona Prasetyo. Bobby called upon all Gerindra cadres to ensure the success of President Prabowo’s programs.
“To all of us, I entrust you to safeguard not only the party’s good name but also Mr. President’s programs. President Prabowo’s programs have a profound impact on the grassroots, aimed at improving public welfare,” Bobby stated.
To that end, Bobby encouraged Gerindra North Sumatra to continue consolidating the party, particularly with regional heads who are Gerindra cadres.
“If possible, at least once a month, the Chairman could instruct regional heads and cadres (from Gerindra) to gather. This will ensure that Mr. President’s programs are effectively communicated to the grassroots and succeed,” Bobby said. (Edi)
