Aceh – Indonesia, Vice President of Persiraja Banda Aceh FC, Iswahyudi, has announced his resignation from his position after the Laskar Rencong suffered four consecutive defeats at the start of the 2026/27 Pegadaian Championship.

Iswahyudi conveyed his resignation via an Instagram Story on his personal account, @yudy_ronaldo. In the post, he apologized to the people of Aceh for Persiraja’s poor results in the first four matches of the season.

β€œAs a form of my responsibility for the team’s poor performance in these 4 matches, I personally apologize to all the people of Aceh,” Iswahyudi wrote.

Following his apology, Iswahyudi then declared his resignation from his position as Persiraja’s Vice President. β€œAnd with this, I declare my resignation from the position of Vice President of Persiraja.”

Iswahyudi also expressed his hope that Persiraja would bounce back from this situation soon. β€œGod willing, this team will recover shortly. This dedication will never fade,” he wrote, adding the hashtag #LANTAK_LAJU.

Four Matches, Four Defeats

The decision by Iswahyudi, fondly known as Bos Yudi, was made after Persiraja dropped points at home once again on Friday night, October 2, 2026.

Hosting Sumsel United at the H. Dimurthala Stadium, Persiraja lost 1-2. The result marked their fourth straight defeat at the start of this season’s Pegadaian Championship campaign.

Previously, Persiraja lost 0-1 to Semen Padang in their opening match. Laskar Rencong then fell 1-2 to PSPS Pekanbaru and suffered another defeat by the same scoreline against Persikad Depok.

This series of poor results leaves Persiraja without a single point from their opening four matches of the season.

In the match against Sumsel United, Persiraja put up a fight. After trailing 0-1 and playing with 10 men from the end of the first half, the hosts managed to equalize through Jayus Hariono in the 60th minute.

However, a goal by Ikechukwu Kenneth Ngwoke in the 67th minute put Persiraja behind again, ultimately sealing their 1-2 defeat.

Coaching Change Yet to Yield Results

Prior to Iswahyudi’s resignation, Persiraja Banda Aceh had also made changes in their coaching staff.

The club parted ways with head coach Jaya Hartono and his coaching staff following their first three losses. Persiraja then appointed Muhammad Ridwan to take charge of the team.

However, Ridwan’s debut failed to yield any points as Persiraja lost home ground again to Sumsel United.

Following the match, pressure from supporters erupted at H. Dimurthala Stadium. A number of fans chanted β€œYudi Out” and demanded the management clarify the club’s current situation.

After the game, Bos Yudi announced his step down from his post as Vice President of Persiraja FC. Nevertheless, Yudi maintained his hope in his statement that Persiraja would recover swiftly.

For Laskar Rencong, attention now shifts to their upcoming match and the team’s efforts to end their losing streak at the start of the 2026/27 Pegadaian Championship season.
