Aceh – Indonesia, Redelong, BERITAMERDEKA.net- The question of who would take the helm at the Bener Meriah Journalists’ Joint Secretariat (Sekber J.BM) has finally been answered. Through the 4th Congress held today, Saturday, October 3, 2026, the organization representing journalists in the Gayo highlands officially established a new leadership structure for the 2026–2029 period.
According to information gathered from the founders of this journalism organization, Ar Lubis and Dasa Yus Helmi, the leadership baton has been officially passed to Yusradi, S.Pd. A prominent active member of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) and the Indonesian Television Journalists Association (IJTI) Aceh, Yusradi will be supported by Iswindi, S.E. as Secretary and Dio Andario as Treasurer.
Rayaskana stepped down from the top position with grace. The senior journalist from the Tim Pemantau Informasi Korupsi (Tipikor) media outlet openly expressed his gratitude for the moral support and solid cooperation extended to him throughout his tenure.
“I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the trust and togetherness of all board members during this period of service. Your dedication and loyalty have been the main pillars sustaining our organization,” Rayaskana told BERITAMERDEKA.net journalists.
The anti-corruption journalist gave special credit to key figures who faithfully worked side-by-side with him to uphold the institution’s dignity during his leadership.
Among them were Yanhasmadi, Dasa, Yus Helmy, Drs. S. Zetha, Iswindi, Mahendra Putra Gama, Bayu Reslita HS, Arlubis, Pujo, M. Charim, Say Indra G., Sadikin, Dio Andario, and Bardi Yanirwansah, S.H.
Reflecting on the past administration, Rayaskana also openly apologized to members and partners for any shortcomings or mistakes during his term.
“As an ordinary human being, I am fully aware that I am not free from errors, oversights, or moments of dissatisfaction while leading. From the bottom of my heart, I apologize for any shortcomings during my time holding this trust,” he stated candidly.
Closing the succession event, he left a valuable and poignant message for the new leadership under Yusradi. Rayaskana urged the future direction of Sekber J.BM to be far more cohesive, professional, and above all, courageous in defending press independence amidst external interests that often challenge journalistic integrity.
“Maintain unity, uphold the dignity of the profession, and ensure Sekber J.BM remains an organization that consistently benefits the region and the community,” he concluded, pointing to the moral responsibility of journalists in the Gayo land. (arlubis)
