Aceh – Indonesia, Pidie Jaya Regent, Sibral Malasyi, requested the Central Government to accommodate the construction of 739 centralized permanent housing units (Huntap).
This figure does not include permanent housing built directly on land owned by disaster survivors.
Sibral conveyed the request during a coordination meeting for filling out the post-disaster handling monitoring and evaluation instrument with the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK) at the Pidie Jaya Bappeda hall, Tuesday (9/29/2026).
In front of the Deputy for Disaster and Social Conflict Management at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, Lilik Kurniawan, Regent Sibral detailed the total need for centralized permanent housing that has been decreed and recorded in the master plan (Renduk) for post-disaster hydrometeorological rehabilitation and reconstruction.
Of that number, 110 units have been accommodated by the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (Kemen PKP). The tender for this project has even been completed by the agency.
“The centralized Huntap master plan totals 739 units, 110 of which will be worked on soon, leaving 629 units remaining,” said Regent Sibral Malasyi in his speech before the Deputy of Kemenko PMK.
The Pidie Jaya Government has coordinated with the Post-Disaster Acceleration Task Force for Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (Satgas PPR) and the Ministry of PKP regarding the remaining centralized permanent housing.
As a result of the coordination, the ministry will review the housing data for flood survivors to be built in one location in the Meureudu District area.
Therefore, Sibral asked Kemenko PMK to assist with the issue so that it could be included in the development plan for the 2027 fiscal year.
“We really hope that the Deputy can help ensure that the remaining 629 units of centralized permanent housing can be built in 2027,” Sibral requested.
Meanwhile, Deputy for Disaster and Social Conflict Management at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, Lilik Kurniawan, stated that he would convey the issue.
In addition, Lilik Kurniawan added, the central government has prepared a large budget for the post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction process.
Therefore, he reminded disaster-affected local governments to prepare detailed and complete proposal data so that the rehab-recon process can be implemented.
“Currently, the budget prepared by the Central Government is quite large. Regional governments must submit complete data while the budget is still available. If the budget is no longer available later, it will require another process,” concluded Lilik.
