Aceh – Indonesia, The spirit of maintaining unity and practicing the values of Pancasila was reaffirmed by the Sabang City Government on the occasion of the 2026 Pancasila Sanctity Day commemoration.

Carrying the theme “Pancasila Unifies the Nation Towards a Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia,” the commemoration was marked by a ceremony held in the courtyard of the Sabang Mayor’s Office.

Regional Secretary of Sabang City, Andri Nourman, served as the Ceremony Inspector, attended by all civil servants within the Sabang City Regional Secretariat.

Following the ceremony, the Regional Secretary of Sabang City stated that the Pancasila Sanctity Day commemoration is not merely a ceremonial agenda, but also a reminder for all government ranks to apply Pancasila values in daily life, including in carrying out duties and providing services to the public.

“Most importantly, how we truly practice Pancasila values in our daily lives. This includes performing our duties as civil servants—how we work responsibly, improve performance, respect one another, and prioritize the public interest,” he said on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

According to him, the spirit of unity and mutual cooperation (gotong royong) must also continue to be maintained to support development in Sabang City. Differences in backgrounds or views, he said, should not be an obstacle to building the region together.

“We certainly have different backgrounds and perspectives, but that should not be a barrier to working together. Through togetherness and mutual assistance, government performance can run better and public services will become more optimal,” Andri said.

The Regional Secretary of Sabang City hopes that the spirit embedded in the Pancasila Sanctity Day commemoration can continue to be realized in government duties and community life, ensuring that unity and solidarity remain a strength in the development of Sabang City. []
