Aceh – Indonesia, President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated 26 members of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres) at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Friday, October 2, 2026.

With a monthly salary of Rp76.5 million per person, the state will disburse approximately Rp1.989 billion per month for the 26 Wantimpres members.

Calculated annually, these financial entitlements reach approximately Rp23.868 billion, excluding facilities and secretary costs for each member.

In addition to salaries, the Chairman and Members of Wantimpres receive minister-equivalent facilities in accordance with statutory regulations.

The salaries are granted starting from the inauguration and/or performance of duties, and will cease upon resignation or dismissal from office.

Funding for these salaries and facilities is sourced from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) through the ministry budget handling state secretarial affairs.

Each Wantimpres member is also assisted by a member’s secretary to support the execution of their duties.

This means that with 26 members, there are 26 or more member secretaries supporting the work of Wantimpres. Beyond salary matters, Wantimpres’ main duty is to provide advice and considerations to the President in running the government.

Such advice must be provided whether requested or unrequested by the President and can be delivered individually or as a unified council.

Upon the President’s request, Wantimpres members may also attend cabinet meetings as well as official working and state visits. These duties are also accompanied by an obligation to maintain the confidentiality of materials submitted to the President.

Wantimpres members are not permitted to provide information, statements, or disseminate the content of their advice and considerations to any party. []
