Aceh – Indonesia, Sigli (Waspada Aceh) – Nasir Adam was re-elected as Chairman of PSSI Aceh for the 2026–2030 period after securing 33 votes at the Ordinary Elective Congress of PSSI Aceh held in Sigli, Pidie Regency, Saturday (3/10/2026).

Nasir obtained 33 votes from 40 eligible voters. Meanwhile, seven voters were absent from the congress, which was attended by representatives of Regency Associations (Askab), City Associations (Askot), and football clubs across Aceh.

Following his election, Nasir stated that the mandate represents a significant responsibility. He called on all elements of Acehnese football to unite and collaborate in facing various challenges to advance football in the region.

β€œThe mandate given to me is certainly very heavy. I hope we can row this boat together; please do not leave me to walk alone,” Nasir said.

According to him, the effort to build Acehnese football truly begins after the congress. Therefore, he asked all football stakeholders to maintain solidarity while managing the organization over the next four years.

Nasir also urged the central PSSI to respect the congress results and follow up in accordance with the organizational statutes. He expressed hope that differences of opinion during the election process would not escalate into conflict among the Acehnese football community.

β€œFootball is about brotherhood, football is family. We hope the central PSSI will not do anything that could cause us to fight here merely due to differences of opinion,” he stated.

He emphasized that all organizational processes must refer to the statutes, rather than specific interests or interventions that lack a regulatory basis.

According to Nasir, adherence to the statutes is essential for maintaining unity and the sustainability of football development in Aceh. He also requested the central PSSI to promptly follow up on the congress outcomes through applicable mechanisms so that polemics do not drag on.

β€œWe do not want Acehnese football to be destroyed over this issue. Every process has rules within the statutes, including how to determine who is wrong and who is right,” he added.

Nasir hopes all parties can view the congress results objectively. He also reminded stakeholders that the statutes provide further mechanisms for interested parties if the congress outcomes are not acted upon in accordance with organizational provisions.

He hopes his leadership will once again receive support from all elements of Acehnese football, allowing future challenges to be faced together and ensuring continuous growth in regional football development. (*)
