Three Consecutive Losses at the Start of the Season, Persiraja Sacks Entire Coaching Staff

Banda Aceh – Persiraja Banda Aceh has sacked its entire coaching staff following a poor run of form at the start of the 2026/2027 Liga 2 Pegadaian Championship, suffering three consecutive defeats.

The dismissal was announced by club president Nazaruddin Dek Gam after the loss against Persikad. “All coaches have been sacked,” Dek Gam wrote on his Instagram story, quoted on Sunday (27/9/2026).

The decision was also officially announced via Persiraja Banda Aceh’s official Instagram account. In the post, the club expressed its gratitude to the coaching staff who had been part of Laskar Rencong’s journey.

“Thank you for being part of Laskar Rencong’s journey. Your dedication will always be a part of Persiraja’s story. Wishing you success wherever you go. Lantak Laju,” wrote the official Persiraja Banda Aceh account.

The five dismissed coaches are head coach Jaya Hartono, alongside Muhammad Yasir, Faisal Munanda, Wahyu AW, and Ferry Ferdinand.

Persiraja kicked off the season hosting Semen Padang at the H Dimurthala Stadium, Lampineung, Banda Aceh. In that match, Lantak Laju succumbed to a 0-1 defeat against Kabau Sirah.

In the second matchday, Persiraja played an away fixture against PSPS Riau. Jaya Hartono’s side suffered another setback, falling 2-1. Most recently, Persiraja traveled to Persikad’s headquarters on Saturday (26/9). Once again, the pride of the Acehnese people failed to secure any points after a 2-1 loss. []
