Aceh – Indonesia, Banda Aceh (Waspada Aceh) – The Aceh People’s Representative Council (DPRA) and the Aceh Government have agreed on the General Budget Policies (KUA) and Provisional Budget Priorities and Ceiling (PPAS) for the 2027 fiscal year.
The agreement was marked by the signing of a joint approval report during a plenary session at the Main DPRA Building on Jalan Tgk H.M. Daud Beureueh, Banda Aceh, on Thursday (8/10/2026).
The meeting was chaired by DPRA Vice Speaker, Ir. H. Saifuddin Muhammad, also known as Yah Fud, and attended by members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), representatives of the Aceh Government, and other invited guests.
In his opening remarks, the session chair mentioned that the Draft KUA and PPAS 2027 had previously been submitted by the Aceh Government through letter Number 900.1/7669 dated July 2, 2026.
The draft was subsequently discussed between the DPRA Budget Committee (Banggar) and the Aceh Government Budget Team (TAPA).
The deliberations were conducted in reference to Article 16 paragraph (6) of Government Regulation Number 12 of 2018 on the Drafting of Regional Parliament Rules of Procedure and Article 144 paragraph (1) of DPRA Regulation Number 1 of 2025 on DPRA Rules of Procedure.
From these discussions, the DPRA and the Aceh Government reached a consensus encapsulated in the joint approval report.
Following the signing on behalf of the Aceh Government, the plenary session also included the closing of Session Period II and the opening of Session Period III for the year 2026.
Session Period II had been ongoing since May 20, 2026. After all primary agenda items for that sitting were completed, the DPRA leadership officially closed Session Period II.
Subsequently, the DPRA leadership opened Session Period III of 2026, marked by the striking of the gavel.
The DPRA leadership expressed hope that all agendas set out in the DPRA’s Annual Work Plan (RKT) would be executed effectively, benefiting the public and supporting the development of Aceh.
The plenary session concluded with a joint prayer led by Badrun Nafis, S.Hum.
The DPRA leadership also extended their appreciation to the Wali Nanggroe Aceh, the Governor of Aceh, Forkopimda members, heads of vertical agencies, members of the press, and the general public who attended the plenary session. (*)
