Aceh – Indonesia, Sada Coffee distributed IDR 5,000,000 in zakat funds through the Rumah Amal of Jamik Mosque at Syiah Kuala University (USK) to support the Peduli Sigra Program on Thursday (9/10/2026).

This assistance is aimed at students living in the USK Dormitory UPT who require support to meet their daily food needs.

This zakat distribution reflects Sada Coffee’s concern for students, particularly those from underprivileged families who are facing financial constraints during their studies. Through the Peduli Sigra Program, USK’s Jamik Mosque Rumah Amal strives to deliver targeted assistance so that students can fulfill their basic needs and remain focused on completing their education.

USK’s Jamik Mosque Rumah Amal expressed its appreciation and gratitude to Sada Coffee for its trust in channeling zakat funds through the program. This support is expected to provide tangible benefits for students in need while strengthening collaboration between the business sector and zakat management institutions in supporting student welfare.

The Peduli Sigra Program is one of the initiatives by USK’s Jamik Mosque Rumah Amal to respond to student needs through social and humanitarian assistance. Collaborating with various parties is a crucial step to ensure zakat funds are distributed to eligible beneficiaries and create a real impact.

USK’s Jamik Mosque Rumah Amal invites zakat payers (muzakki), donors, alumni, the USK academic community, and the business sector to take part in supporting students in need. Every contribution made is hoped to empower students to keep striving toward their future through education.

Through this collaboration, zakat serves not only as a fulfillment of a religious duty but also as an instrument of social care that helps maintain the continuity of students’ education. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 2: Zero Hunger and SDG 4: Quality Education, by supporting the fulfillment of food needs and the educational sustainability of students from underprivileged families.(rao)
