BANDA ACEH – Spokesperson for the Aceh Provincial Government, Nurlis Effendi, stated that the budget realization for the educational assistance program targeting students affected by the major floods in late November 2025 has not yet been disbursed. Nurlis explained that the budget managed by the Aceh Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) for the 2026 fiscal year is allocated for students impacted by hydrometeorological disasters in Aceh.

“In fact, by the time the deadline passed, many students who were declared eligible had not yet submitted or completed their administrative documents and bank account details,” Nurlis said on Sunday, September 26, 2026.

He mentioned that the final selection results for beneficiaries were only announced on August 25, 2026, following a factual field verification process across 18 affected regencies/cities.

Afterward, BPSDM opened re-registration, physical document collection, and account number validation for Bank Aceh Syariah until September 20, 2026.

According to Nurlis, the scholarship assistance cannot be transferred until all beneficiary documents are fully verified in accordance with state financial regulations.

“Because the proactive outreach to gather follow-up documentation is still ongoing, the funds could not be disbursed from the regional treasury as of September 25,” he stated.

Nurlis emphasized that the Aceh Provincial Government remains committed to ensuring that disaster aid funds are properly targeted and protected from misuse.

“The public, journalists, and transparency advocates can directly monitor updates on this additional TKD realization independently through the official Aceh P2K-APBA portal. Every single rupiah of these hydrometeorological disaster funds must truly reach and benefit the people of Aceh,” he said.***
