Aceh – Indonesia, Persada Abdya secured a ticket to the top 8 quarter-finals of the 2026 Soeratin Cup U-17 national round after topping the group stage undefeated.
The Sigupai squad collected seven points from three matches, courtesy of two wins and one draw. This record propelled the Aceh representative to finish at the top of the Sumatra zone group standings.
Persada kicked off their campaign with a resounding 7-0 victory over KCT Riau Islands (KCT FC) in a match held at Madya Stadium, Medan, on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
The win immediately highlighted Persada’s lethal frontline. However, their journey was not always smooth sailing.
In their second match on Friday afternoon, October 2, 2026, Persada faced EBR Riau. Both teams played fiercely, ending in a 2-2 draw.
The draw made the final match against Disporasu FC (North Sumatra) a decisive fixture for Persada to secure top spot in the group.
They capitalized on the opportunity, defeating Disporasu FC 2-0, with goals scored in both the first and second halves.
The additional three points brought Persada Abdya’s tally to seven points, locking up the top position in the standings. They finished one point ahead of Disporasu FC, who gathered six points.
Scored 11 Goals, Conceded Only Two
Beyond staying undefeated, Persada also displayed impressive attacking firepower throughout the group stage.
In three matches, the Sigupai squad netted 11 goals and conceded just twice, finishing the group phase with a plus-nine goal difference.
This impressive record serves as vital momentum for Persada as they prepare for the competition in the top 8 national round of the 2026 Soeratin Cup U-17.
With this achievement, Persada Abdya stands as Aceh’s representative advancing to the quarter-finals. Their journey will continue to Nusantara Capital City (IKN) to battle against qualifying teams from other groups.
In the final group standings, Persada finished in first place with seven points, followed by Disporasu FC with six points. Meanwhile, EBR Riau and KCT Riau Islands still have one match remaining, leaving their final positions yet to be decided.
