Aceh – Indonesia, Zaini Bakri has been officially sworn in as a member of the Aceh Regional House of Representatives (DPRA) through the Interim Replacement (PAW) mechanism for the remainder of the 2024-2029 term.

Zaini replaces Mawardi Basyah as a DPRA member representing the United Development Party (PPP) Fraction. The oath-taking ceremony took place during a DPRA plenary session at the Main DPRA Building on Thursday (8/10/2026).

Deputy Speaker of the DPRA, Saifuddin Muhammad, also known as Yah Fud, stated that the plenary session was held following a decree by the Minister of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs’ letter Number 100.2.1.4/3449/OTDA dated October 2, 2026.

“Through the letter, the DPRA was requested to convene a plenary session for the oath-taking of the PAW DPRA member for the remaining 2024-2029 term in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations,” said Yah Fud.

Acting Regional Secretary of Aceh, Taufik, ST, M.Si., along with his officials, attended the inauguration as a manifestation of the Aceh Provincial Government’s support to ensure that legislative functions within the institution continue to run smoothly and effectively according to prevailing regulations.
